I
believe that this quote is trying to say that a long period of pain isn’t worth
the short period of gain. For example if you lie to your parents and say saying
you’re going to stay after school for tutoring and in reality you’re going to
the mall with your friends you were able to have a couple fun hours with your
friends but is it worth you always regretting that you lied to your parents and
misused their trust possibly for the rest of your life for a couple of fun
hours with your friends no it wouldn’t so we shouldn’t do it.
