I believe that in the quote “You have brains in your head, You have feet in your shoes; You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own, and you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” By Dr. Seuss he meant that you are your own person so you don’t have to listen when someone tell you where to go in your life. 

Trauma Nurse

Trauma Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

Emergency/ Trauma nurses provide care to patients who have suffered serious and sometimes life-threatening physical injuries e.g. Car accidents, work related injuries and suicide attempts. These injuries can potentially result in secondary complications such as respiratory failure, shock and death. trauma nurse must respond with decisiveness and clarity to unexpected events by assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients about whom there is minimal information.

Salary:

$67,019 annually

Education:

A trauma nurse has to have a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. The minimum requirement is an RN license available after the completion of a qualified nursing program.

Reflection:

I wouldn’t like to be a trauma nurse because I’m recently volunteering in a hospital and I have worked with trauma nurses and it looks like a very stressful job. Because the patients are never calm and don’t listen cause they are always panicking and you have to be the one keeping your calm when the patients scream or insult them.

I Believe that the quote “Obedience is the great test of life” by Thomas S. Monson was supposed to mean that the most important test in life will be if you can be obedient. 

Biomedical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Common duties of biomedical engineers include designing and evaluating devices and procedures, performing research, and evaluating treatment techniques. They are also in charge of designing and developing artificial organs.

Salary:

 $76,610 annually

Education:

A Bachelor’s and Master’s degree is required, Biomedical engineers often combine the study in mechanical and electronics engineering with focused biomedical training to operate confidently in the field.

Reflection:

I think it would be cool to be a biomedical engineer because it’s like being a doctor and an engineer put together. But I wouldn’t like to be one because I don’t want to be an engineer  because it seems complicated to be one.

David Bednar

I believe that what David Bednar meant in his quote “Obedience is the central to becoming, being, and remaining happy” is that obedience is what controls becoming, being and remaining happy because if your obedient you can and will remain happy. For example if you are obedient you will be happy with your results or privileges but if you stop being obedient you wont be happy when your privileges or results get minimized or taken away.

A wedding planner is hired to plan and organize a wedding, reception and possibly the honeymoon in consultation with the bride and groom.

o   recommend wedding professionals that match a couple’s style and budget

o   review and negotiate vendor contracts

It is required to own a business where you live, there are no required certifications or licenses needed to become a wedding planner in the United States. It is also recommended to have business or marketing experience, you can use that to help launch your own wedding planning business.

Reflection:

A career I’m interested in becoming is a wedding planner because I love weddings and I love, the idea of love and it would be a job where I could combine both things int0 one. And I believe it would be awesome to be a part of such a special day for the brides like picking their dress or planning their bridal shower, and helping them enjoy their special day by taking all their stress away.

Reggie Bush

   Reggie Bush was in the running back position for USC in 2005 that year he was given the Heisman Trophy (trophy for best college football player). I believe Reggie was a great football player the only problem was he didn’t follow the NCAA rules if he did he could have kept his trophy.

Is a technique that teaches your body to respond to your verbal commands. These commands "tell" your body to relax and control breathing, blood pressure, heartbeat, and body temperature.

Reflection:

I wouldn’t like to become a autogenic trainer because I would like to work in another type of medical field. Something that I can have fun in not just help people relax.

Boyd K. Packer

I believe that what Boyd K. Packer meant in his quote “The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have.” Is that the more you listen and follow the rules the more the more freedom you will get in return. For example some parents might not let their kids go out with their friends because they don’t listen or follow the rules or the kid lies they aren’t going to trust them but if the kid starts being honest, listens to the parents, and  follows the rules they will have more freedom to go with their friends.

Auricular therapy is a healing practice dating back to the third century wherein the practitioner uses needles at acupuncture points on the outer ear that correspond to specific parts of the human body.

Education:

 To become an acupuncture technician, you will need to participate in a program certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. This program will teach you the five basic ear points of auricular acupuncture used as a therapy

Reflection:

I wouldn’t like to become an auricular therapist because I don’t want to stick a needle in somebody’s ear or accidentally miss the point I’m supposed to stick the needle in and accidentally leave them paralyzed or something else

911 Memorial

September 11, 2001 was the day four airplanes pierced through the sky and crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, a Pennsylvania field, and the Pentagon killing more than 3,000 people. Causing it to become one of the most remembered dates in history. At 8:46 a.m. Mohammed Atta and the other hijackers aboard American Airlines Flight 11 crash the plane into floors 93-99 of the North Tower of the World Trade Center, killing everyone on board and hundreds inside the building. Hours later at 9:02 am after initially instructing tenants of the WTC’s South Tower to remain in the building, Port Authority officials broadcast orders to evacuate both towers via the public address system; an estimated 10,000 to 14,000 people are already in the process of evacuating. Minutes later at 9:03 am – Hijackers crash United Airlines Flight 175 into floors 75-85 of the WTC’s South Tower, killing everyone on board and hundreds inside the building. Half an hour later at 9:37 am Hijackers aboard Flight 77 crash the plane into the western façade of the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., killing 59 aboard the plane and 125 military and civilian personnel inside the building. Finally at 9:59 am we come to know that The South Tower of the World Trade Center collapses. At 10:07 am after passengers and crew members aboard the hijacked Flight 93 contact friends and family and learn about the attacks in New York and Washington, they mount an attempt to retake the plane. In response, hijackers deliberately crash the plane into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, killing all 40 passengers and crew aboard. On board flight 93 a man named Todd Beamer

nine other passengers and five flight attendants were ordered to sit on the floor in the rear of the plane two of the hijackers were in the cockpit with the door locked behind them. The man with the bomb stayed in the back of the plane, near Beamer's group. Toward the end of his conversation with Jefferson, Beamer said the plane appeared to have changed directions a few times. Later, it would be determined that it had flown west from Newark to near Cleveland, then turned back to the southeast toward Pittsburgh. Beamer then told Jefferson that he and the others had decided to "jump on" the hijacker wearing the bomb. Jefferson could hear shouts and commotion and then Beamer asked her to pray with him. They recited the 23rd Psalm. He got Jefferson to promise that she would call his family, then dropped the phone, leaving the line open. That's when Jefferson heard what Lisa Beamer believes were her husband's last words: "Let's roll." Officials confirmed flight 93 crashed at 9:58 a.m. Todd Beamer and the passengers on flight 93 where the first citizen heroes of the 21 St century against terrorism. Even 13 years later America still tributes their bravery and sacrifice. In May 2, 2011 Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the September 11th attacks, was finally tracked down and killed by U.S. forces at a hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan

  I believe that 9/11 will always remind our nation of how strong we are, 9/11 left a reminder of what our nation is capable of and I’m proud to say that I live in America where people risked their lives, or love their country enough to self-sacrifice themselves for the country and its people. As for the dumb people who caused so much pain to our country and the innocent people just for their dumb beliefs and because we aren’t the same or believe in the same thing I believe they should be brought to the families who lost their loved ones so they can see the way they suffer being put into jail for the horrible crime they created I believe that they shouldn’t even be considered human for creating such a horrible event where many people lost their lives for some dumb peoples St********* and I*******.

I believe this Tragedy made us stronger
