Responsibilities:
An allergist/immunologist is a medical doctor specializing in the
diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic ailments. Allergist and Immunologist are trained to not only diagnose and treat,
but also manage and prevent immune system disorders such as autoimmune diseases
and immunodeficiency diseases.
Salary: $228,622 annually
Education: Allergist and Immunologist are required to complete at least 13 years of medical training before taking up the profession. This includes 4 years of premedical college or university education, 4 years of medical school, 3 years of residency training, and a further 2 years of fellowship program.
